I think a Want List thread is a great idea.
Surprised it hasn't been done before now. I know I have a list of cards I have been attempting to find for a long time.

I agree. A wants list should be a very good opportunity to find a card or two. However, when I've tried I've had little (no) success. That may well be down to the wrong request at the wrong time. I hope you fare better!

Your Ogdens wants puts you in a queue for those cards, me included. You will have to have deep pockets, perhaps a loan or even a mortgage. does that give you a hint as to their rarity.
Always looking for interesting cards and associated goods issued by Ogden's you can see samples of cards I am looking for in the wants section.
Best Regards David

To Ogdenscards,

Your comments about the queue and mortgage gave me a good chuckle!!!

Yes I do realise their rarity, and on the open market they would certainly create spirited bidding, but I live in hope that someone, someday, somewhere will list them obscurely and one of us will get them for a song. I know we can all remember fondly how we got a very rare card for a couple of bucks because it was poorly listed and we were the lucky ones with the eagle eye!!

Happy hunting to us all.
Regards
Brian

Some of us have clearly better "eagle eyes" than others

I just wish I was looking for a single Qld. Manufacturers Koala flour card to finish my set?

With only Staples on your wants list (I believe there are 17 cards in the set), I don't believe your eyesight needs checking at all!!!

And I'm looking for the Ogden's (Sydney) issues also - it might be best we all share - otherwise the optical challenge is on...
