Hard luck, Mariner Tony

Gutted for you, mate.
Would have preferred to have another northern team back in the league.
But c'est la vie.

On a harsher note, there is some karma in the result in that Brizzle Rovers DID finish second in the league, so they should really have been promoted anyway; I've never agreed with the play-off system, even though we've won them three times. Promotions should be decided over a season not a three game knock-out.
Yet again the avaricious Football League demands its pound of flesh. :(

Thanks. If, before any sporting encounter, you shrug your shoulders and acknowledge that the difference between success and failure is a fine margin, you will come out the other end a stronger person!
That's got the b****cks out of the way: gutted! ;D

as MT states , it's a bit of karma but I don't know anyone who supports Rovers so I'll be gutted with you and the  other Mariners .
There's better times ahead ....and your not Telford .

Yes, sadly no words will help you feel any better.  Was pleased to see the Shop had scored at Wembley.  I  presume the song rang out.
Cleethorpes (sea view et al) or shoved in a corner at that bloody awful rugby ground - complete no brainer, but thankfully we got promoted and I won't have to wonder about making the trip.
Hopefully you'll keep the basis of your squad and build again for next season, but with Tranmere coming down it won't be easy.
Regards.
UtS!

Supporting your team is a cruel mistress at times the highs and lows but we carry on regardless Personally I have not watched MOTD since last December Roll on Channel 5 next season

That's a VERY negative outlook, Wolfie.
Do you really have so little faith in Arsehole and Chelski? ;)

Tis the privilege of a single man 😀 to watch wall to wall football! My favourite TV teams of the year are, in no particular order:
Norwich.
Bournemouth.
Bristol City.
As the more astute will have realised, non are from the Premier League.

Such a pity the Shakers didn't get any TV coverage this year.  You would have been glued to the screen!

MT,
Notice 'The Shop' has gone.
What are your feelings about that?
Did you get a fee?

Hi Shaker.
Good luck to the fellow! Can't blame him at all. A chance to go up a league with more money no doubt. He worked hard for us: a real trier who improved over the time he was with us. AND a quality video!
He was offered a new contract but chose to fly. Good luck 'Shop!'

And, just for those NOT in the know, 'The Shop' referred to in this thread is/was Grimsby Town player Lenell John-Lewis.
Geddit?

Apologies Terrier! (And any confused soul.) My lack of bulk in that post was lamentable. I'm normally so long winded!

No apologies required, Tony.
You're clearly still in the throes of post-Wembley trauma.
