You might as well toss a coin :D The world is such a complicated and contrary place, especially when you include people in the equation. Like the stock market, you could spend your life trying to work it all out with logic and reason only for it to do the complete opposite of what you thought, and sometimes to your benefit anyway. The reason why they want to put it up for referendum is so they can blame us if it goes wrong, because it's so complex.

The UK pound is nose diving at the moment because of the fear of us coming out of Europe, but then again wouldn't it be easier for people selling on eBay if they had the same currency as Europe? It's a bit of pain filling out customs stickers for non-European countries and being ripped off on currency exchange rates. Also, haven't there been fewer wars in Europe since after WW2 when we made a more concerted effort to be united. Look how well the UNITED States has done when it became united. They've become a world super power and only had a couple of civil wars in 200 years. Compare that with the countless wars we've had with our European neighbours in the same time if you check the history books, and cigarette cards :)
