Help please - A. & J. Coudens
« on: January 04, 2018, 02:30:04 PM »
I'm hoping some kind soul will be able to help.

I was just about the feature the 'F - Football' card on my blog. I've only got Volumes 3 and 4 of the World Index but Coudens appears in 1 and 2.

My notes include a Ha551 reference and I wondered what the entry is for this number. Can anyone help?

Also, I have Coudens reference number as C144 but I don't know the number for the Sports Alphabet set. Again, can anyone help?

Still missing the names of sports for A, M and X too.

A little late, but best wishes to everyone for 2018.

Alan

This is the Coudens entry from Vol. 1.  Afraid I don't have Vol. 2.  Ha apparently refers to the LCCC handbook which I don't have.

For what it's worth:

Ha.551 SPORTS ALPHABET or SPORTS PASTIMES - 25 subjects

Cope  - Titled 'Sports and Pastimes'. Front in colour  Numbered 1-25
Coudens - Titled 'Sports Alphabet. Front in black & White Unnumbered (each card covers a letter from A to Y)

Thanks IanSammel and tygartygar. It's nice to get the proper codes for this set and I didn't realize this set is similar to one of the Cope sets, which means I now have the complete checklist.

I've now completed the piece on this set and it will appear on my blog tomorrow.

Thanks again for your help, it's much appreciated.
