Greetings from Gigg (JD Stadium)
« on: March 16, 2014, 09:11:38 PM »
Came across the site whilst trying to find information about FCCM.  As you may have guessed I'm a loyal Shaker and collector of Shakers' memorabilia. Looking through the forum it looks like there's collectors from quife a lot of interesting teams and thankfully, so far, none from Bolton!

Yes, Shaker = Bury.
Old, old team but always played at Gigg Lane. Just another new ground re-name in JD Stadium.

By the way, Shaker - I received my FCCM catalogue ten days ago.
Now I'm broke ...

Welcome Shaker!
I also thought it was Gigg Lane and was a little confused. We have locked horns many times over the years.
Enjoy the forum. Mariner.

Cheers guys,
Yes the name Gigg Lane, sadly was replaced this season by the JD stadium, as our once loved 'sport' continues to sell its soul to commercial interest (but don't get me going on that). To most it will always be Gigg.
Have seen the Shakers on many occasion at Blundell Park (is The Shop still with you?) and even at St James'.  Sorry can't promise interesting posts myself, but was interested that Mansfield Terrier (and yes I've been to Leeds Rd and the new one- and was at Mansfield as recently last month too), has recently had a FCCM. I haven't had one for several years. Then again maybe my subscription ran out.  Is there an email for Mr Daines?

I think that the way forward for you, Shaker, is to simply send Garry a cheque for £4 - the cost of a catalogue these days - together with your address. These catalogues only appear once every thirteen or so months these days, so you need to grab your chance when you can.
