Panini 'Brasil 2014' online sticker collection
« on: May 31, 2014, 08:23:01 AM »
Is anyone in here collecting these?
Certainly an interesting concept, it's free and quite addictive, but relatively slow (you can only open five packs a day)
What's the general opinion? (As if I didn't already know ...)

MT, I think it is a great idea! Anything that encourages kids to get involved in collecting gets my vote. Forget the hype, but this years' collection really seems to have captured the public imagination.
I listened to a Panini spokesperson on Talk Sport confirming that the genesis of sticker collecting came from trade and cigarette cards and was merely a continuation of the genre.
My own view (as a proud troglodyte) confirms my status as an anachronistic has been, collecting something that does not exist other than in the ether. Very post-modern!
Long may such activities thrive and prosper!

' doing it for the kids '
Long may it flourish

12% completed, but I only signed up yesterday.

I have found a lovely little website that generates codes for free packets - 😎 - but the fact that you can only open five packets a day is slowing me down.
I've no chance of completing in time for the start of the World Cup.

Good fun, though!

Right ... here's some help for anyone trying to complete this collection.
Here's a few codes that you can use - these will work for ANY AND EVERYONE who inputs them!

FIFA-PANINI-PACK
FREE-PACK-2014
WORLDS-CUP
COCA-COLA
OPEN-HAPPINESS
COKE-REWARDS
IGOT-IGOT-NEED
FREE-FIFA-STICKERS
OPEN-2014-PACK
FAN-REWARDS
I-WANT-MY-FIFA-PACK
YOUR-PANINI-PACK
(You need to type the hyphen too!)

There are a few others floating around, but the ones which are a mix of digits and letters are from the backs of the 'shiny' stickers in proper packets and they only work ONCE so don't be misled by trying to input those.

Of far more use is this LINK which is a coder generator wherein you simply copy the codes it gives into your 'book' and I guarantee it will provide you with  a pack every time you do it!  8) (You will also need to negotiate casino ads which unfortunately keep popping up)

But, remember! You can still only open FIVE packs a day.
Bummer!  >:(

By the way, a strange 'fault' with this album is that you cannot input codes on iPhone or iPad versions; you can only do it on a 'proper' PC/laptop. There is no facility to do it on an app - the little 'INPUT CODES' area should appear between 'NEW PACKS' and your album on the screen, but it doesn't. :(

60% now.
How you doing, Dant?

In case you didn't know, I can also reveal that if you complete a team or page you get a free packet - although you still can't open it beyond the stipulated five a day!

In addition, a tip for swapping.
You can only name five individual players to swap, but if you have two or three swaps from the same TEAM you can select that team as part of the swap; the system will still only offer one of your stickers up for swap - it just increases the number of combinations to swap.

I can NEVER enjoy watching England play; they always make it so difficult for themselves, not least by the terminally slow approach play that they currently employ.  >:(
